Register Your Child for Religious and Hebrew School

2010-2011 School Year Registration

  • You have a choice of filling out your registration online or sending a hard copy via fax/mail. If you would like to fill out your form online, please follow the link at the bottom of the page. If you would rather fill out the form and mail your payment at the same time, download the pdf form at the bottom of the page.
  • Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades register for Sunday school. We offer 2 sessions – 8:45 am and 11:00 am. Please be sure to choose the appropriate session depending on what public school your children attend.
  • 3rd and 4th grade Hebrew classes meet once a week for one hour. Choose an hour that fits your schedule, we fill classes on the “first come, first served” basis. If the class is full, you will be notified to change your preference.
  • 2nd - 4th grade also have an opportunity to register for our Parent and Child Mitzvah Program, PACE Mitzvah. This program is designed to involve parents and children in doing mitzvot together. It is optional and the cost is $100 per family in addition to the regular tuition. The dates are: October 3, November 7, December 5, February 27, April 17
  • 5th – 6th graders come twice a week for 2 hours each day. Please choose appropriate days depending on what public school your children attend.
  • 6th grade students also have an opportunity to register for our TAG (Torah Avodah Gimilut Hasadim) program. It is optional and the cost is $250 per child in addition to the regular tuition. The dates are: November 5, December 11, January 9, March 19
  • 7th grade students come once a week for 2 hours. You may choose Monday or Tuesday.
  • The 8th grade Mitzvah Corps is a unique program that integrates practical social action projects with a curriculum facilitated by the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs called Judaism and Urban Poverty. The DATES FOR MITZVAH CORPS CLASSES ARE as follows: September 19, October 3, November 7, December 5, January 9, February 13, March 13, April 10
  • 9th grade students register for one session on Sunday morning, 8:45 – 10:45 am. They will be offered an opportunity to serve as Machoniks during the second session on Sundays.
  • 10th grade Confirmation class students register for one session on Sunday morning, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. They will be offered an opportunity to serve as Machoniks during the first session on Sundays.
  • 11th – 12th grade students register for North Shore seminar. Post Confirmation students will continue their education in the North Shore seminar, which will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:15-7:45 PM. North Shore Congregation Israel Goodman Center for Jewish Education, in conjunction with the Youth Group (TYG), offers a unique opportunity for teens to teach and learn from their peers in a relaxed informal setting. The dates are: October 5, November 2, December 7, January 4, February 1, March 1, April 12, May 3.

If you need special assistance with tuition, please contact Serane Blatt, the Executive Director. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide full tuition at this time. Please fill out a scholarship form to request tuition assistance.
